Dr. Angela Bentley
Angela Bentley, DVM, cVMA, graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 2001, then obtained her certification as a Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist in 2015. She joined our company in 2012 at our Pensacola location and was excited to open our new facility here in Pea Ridge in 2022. If you ask Dr. Bentley what her favorite part of her job is, she will tell you “helping pets and their people”. She feels that education and continued learning are the most important aspects of her role as a Veterinarian. When Dr. Bentley is not busy at the hospital caring for pets, she loves spending time with her family, tending to her small farm and gardening.
Dr. Chelsea Smasal
Dr. Chelsea Smasal grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri in May 2020. She moved to Pensacola as her passions outside of work include scuba diving and ocean conservation! Within the veterinary field, she enjoys getting to know her patients and seeing them through all life stages and has a special interest in dentistry. At home she has three senior rescue dogs (Odie, Manny, and Brian) and a cat who rules the roost (Fergie).
Dr. Libby Lyons
Dr. Libby Lyons, a Pensacola native, graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in May 2020. After spending a year in Jacksonville, she decided to move back to Pensacola, once again making the Panhandle her home. Dr. Lyons has a 15 year old Dachshund named “Roxy” and enjoys spending her spare time with family and days at the beach.
Katherine Zahnd, CVT, aPHR
Katherine joined the veterinary industry in 2007 beginning as a receptionist at our Pensacola location. As she progressed, she decided to continue her education and obtained her CVT, Certified Veterinary Technician, post-graduation from Pensacola State College in 2014. As an avid learner, she also obtained her aPHR, Associate Professional in Human Resources in 2022. Katherine’s favorite parts of her job are educating clients to prevent recurring problems with their pets and being able to send hospitalized pets home healthy.
When Katherine is not busy working, she enjoys reading, outdoor activities, especially when her exceptional kitty companion “Toothless” can tag along, and riding motorcycles.
A few interesting facts about Katherine are that she is a graduate of the first PSC Veterinary Technology Class and has ridden cross country on her sport bike twice!
